Open Day 2017

The 24 th of June hailed another very successful Open Day for Brymore Academy and the Old Brymorian’s Association with over 80 old boys visiting the reception centre in the Library. It was good to see such a good mix of young and older attendees looking through memorabilia and enjoying a beverage and chat with their compatriots from the past. Nick Tyley, (1974-78) made the long journey from Tasmania to attend this year’s event and he was able to meet up with old boys from his years at Brymore …. it was good to see you Nick!

As a result we have several new members of the Association who stated that they had thoroughly enjoyed their return to Brymore, some for the first time in many years and other stalwarts who are regular visitors to the place that forged their lives and careers.

It was so good the see Mr Hemming, Mr Munro and Mr Dagger who spent time together with us and be able to reminisce about their years at Brymore as teachers!

The Annual General Meeting was very well attended. Our thanks go to Nigel and his team in the kitchens who provide us with an excellent buffet meal that again was well attended.

This annual event goes from strength to strength with number attending growing each year. The whole of Open Day is well attended by traders and organisations that support Brymore in so many ways throughout the year.

We look forward to seeing many more of you at next year’s event on the 23 rd June, so put the date in your diaries!!
