PYM’S NIGHT DINNER

Another very successful Pym’s Night Re-union was attended by over 50 Old Brymorian’s and their partners. A lot of old faces, but some new ones too, which was very encouraging!
Our Guest Speaker was Jon Wheatley, an Old Brymorian from 1959-1963. Jon is Chairman of South West in Bloom, he writes and broadcasts on a range of horticultural and landscape issues and has been awarded an Associate of Honour of the Royal Horticultural Society.
Jon gave a very amusing and informative speech about his life since leaving Brymore, he spoke about his passion for getting young people involved in horticulture. He has promised to assist and advise Mark Thomas with information from various Horticultural Societies that would be helpful in furthering Horticulture at Brymore.
The Kitchen Staff provided us with another excellent meal that was served by several Brymore boys that had stayed back to serve us before heading off for their half term break. We were very grateful to them for looking after us so well.
Our chairman, Peter Harris presented Peter Wood with Honorary Life Membership of the Old Boys Association for his services to the OBA Committee.
It was an excellent evening that everyone enjoyed, with good food, good speaker and most of all good company! We look forward to a similar night in 2017
